Overview: 6.5.1 Degree of integrated water resources management (Tier I) Degree of this indicator is measured within in a range of 0% to 100% (‘implementation not yet started’ to ‘fully implemented’) in terms of different stages of development and implementation of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) (in total 6 levels), which is further explained by this document. The concept of IWRM is measured in 4 main components including ‘Enabling environment’, ‘Institutions’, ‘Management instruments’ and ‘Financing’. This indicator builds upon an existing survey instrument which was developed by UNEP-DHI and monitors different aspects of the policy framework for integrated water resource management. This data is based on a policy related questionnaire to stakeholders. A full website and summary of the SDG 6.5.1 monitoring is on the UNP-DHI Integrated Water Resource Management Portal.
