GEO-7 Nomination Process Extended Deadline extension inviting Member States to nominate qualified individuals as authors, review editors and fellows for the GEO-7 process as well as to submit expressions of interest for institutions to become collaborating centres for the GEO process As per the resolution entitled “Future of the Global Environment Outlook” ( UNEP Resolution 5/3 ) UNEP distributed the attached request for nominations for authors, review editors and fellows to contribute to the drafting of GEO-7. This request also included a call for expressions of interest from institutions who may wish to become collaborating centers for the GEO process. Authors, review editors and fellows will work closely with the co-chairs of the assessment and the GEO Secretariat to ensure a solutions-focused, policy relevant and scientifically credible GEO-7 is produced by 2026. Collaborating centers will work closely with the GEO Secretariat to provide expertise to the GEO-7 process and help deliver supporting services in the areas of capacity building, knowledge generation and support for policy making.The request for nominations for authors, review editors and fellows to contribute to the drafting of GEO-7 is now open. This request also includes a call for expressions of interest from institutions who may wish to become collaborating centres for the GEO process.
Specialized scientific institutions are also requested to submit expressions of interest if they wish to support the GEO-7 process as a collaborating centre.
