The workshop began with an overview of statistical systems in Guinea and neighboring countries, where participants had an in-depth review of the state of the environment in Guinea and the framework for the development of environmental statistics. As part of the workshop, participants were trained in the establishment of physical accounts (forests and wood resources, land management, water resources), the accounting of environmental goods and services and the finalization of filling. of the self-assessment tool for environmental statistics. At the end of the workshop, participants were expected to demonstrate how they could apply the training received in the future through short presentations on strengthening national coordination for more integrated production of environment statistics. Consequently, the members of the technical committee should be better equipped to prepare the accounts.
