Meeting Title : National Workshop in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Waste SDG Indicators 11.6.1, 12.3.1, 12.4.2, and 12.5.1 Location : Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina Date : 9-10 May 2018 Partners : The Resource and Waste Advisory Group (RWA Group), Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) SDG Indicators : 11.6.1, 12.3.1, 12.4.2, and 12.5.1 Type : Chemicals and Waste Indicators Organized and convened by the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina and funded by UN Environment’s ongoing efforts to develop and refine methodologies for waste-related SDG indicators, the first National Workshop on Waste SDG Indicators was held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina on the 9 th and 10 th of May 2018. The first day brought together 20 participants primarily from the Bosnian government for presentations and discussions focused on waste policy, while the second day assembled a broader group of over 40 technical and operational staff from the statistics and waste management sectors of Bosnia and Herzegovina for a closer look at the proposed methodologies. These Workshops contributed to strengthening capacity in waste SDG monitoring and reporting, and provided valuable feedback towards the refinement of the indicator methodologies listed above.
