short_description To support Brazil in meeting its national land-use related commitments, including biodiversity conservation, an economic land-use change model (GLOBIOM-Brazil), was used to assess the potential impacts of options for implementing the provisions of the Forest Code. The model has been validated by comparing the 2000-2010 model projections with official land-use and crop-production statistics for 2010, and was used in the development of Brazil’s Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC).
