Total primary energy supply (TPES)

Total Primary Energy Supply (TPES) is composed of production plus imports minus exports, international marine bunkers and international aviation bunkers plus stock changes. TPES includes fuels such as coal and gas that are subsequently transformed into other energy forms, such as electricity. For the world total, international marine bunkers and international aviation bunkers are not subtracted from TPES.
