Reflects the existence of laws against domestic violence. The index is scored as follows: 0 if specific legislation is in place; 0.25 if specific legislation in place, but there are reported problems of implementation; 0.5 if general legislation in place, but the law is inadequate; 0.75 if legislation is being planned, drafted or reviewed or existing legislation is highly inadequate; 1 if no legislation.
