Nationally derived quality of open water bodies

A significant inland standing body of freshwater completely surrounded by land but free of emerging vegetation. This includes lakes and artificial reservoirs. Open water bodies have to be reported separately from vegetated wetlands. The term open water body is used synonymously with the term lake water body as used in the 6.3.2 methodology.
