Saint Chaung River Excavation (FGD, 2019)

This data was collected during a participatory mapping exercise conducted in Saint Chaung Village in September 2019. Villagers described extreme river erosion events occurring along this area of the river bank. To combat this they have devised a scheme with a local sand extraction company to remove this sandbank in the middle of the river. The villagers believe this will alleviate the river erosion issue.
