National municipal climate risk index TCNCC. Colombia. Scale 1: 100.000. Year: 2017

This geographic information represents the risk index for climate change for Colombia at the municipal level (exposure is generally a determinant of risk being specific to the threat of Climate Change). This spatial information is made up of both the risk value on a scale of 0.1 and 1, as well as the degree of risk (rating from very high to very low). To obtain it, an ACP was made for the sub-indexes of sensitivity and adaptive capacity to climate change, which generate the vulnerability index increased by the threat sub-index. Calculation developed by each municipality in Colombia (vector layer source IGAC 2014), using statistical software ADE-4, which functions as a library in the R environment (R Development Core Team, 2004). Subsequently, the vector information was structured in a file geodatabase. The product was prepared by the team of the Third National Communication on Climate Change (TCNCC) in 2017, a team made up of the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (IDEAM) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
