Mineral Deposits (USGS)

This dataset was compiled due to interest in Afghanistan and anticipated continuing interest as post-war aid and reconstruction begin.This dataset contains latitudes, longitudes, commodity, and limited geologic data for metallic and nonmetallic mines, deposits, and mineral occurrences of Afghanistan. The data in this compilation were derived from published literature and data files of members of the USGS National Industrial Minerals project. This dataset consists of one table with 17 fields and over 1000 sites.
