Marine Plastics: non-adjusted Plastic concentration (g per km2)

This dataset is a compiliation of the results from 10 research monitoring plastic concentration in the oceans through in situ sampling (Suaria et al. 2016; Goldstein et al. 2012; Doyle et al. 2011: Law et al. 2010; Law et al. 2014; Eriksen et al. 2014; Cozar et al. 2015; Cózar et al. 2014; Ruiz-Orejón et al 2016; Collignon et al. 2012). The column PC_number_km2 features a non-adjusted plastic concentration (items per km2); the column PC_g_km2 provides the weight of plastic: non-adjusted Plastic concentration (g per km2). The values are not adjusted for waves height or winds.
