Green Patents (SCP Indicator 21)

This indicator measures the share of environment-related technology patents against the total of technology patents developed by a country. This is a key indicator to track societal responses to green economy needs by tracking the number of patents of importance to green growth. This indicator is tracked by MedWaves (UNEP/MAP SCP/RAC) and is part of the Regional Action Plan on Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) in the Mediterranean.
