| source_abstract | Forest covered by mining concessions in 2014 expressed as percentage of forest per output cell. The data was generated on Google Earth Engine starting from results from time-series analysis of Landsat images 'treecover2000' and removing the data where there was a forest loss from 2001 to 2013 ('lossyear' values from 1 to 13). Source: https://earthenginepartners.appspot.com/science-2013-global-forest/download_v1.5.html The data was then clipped to DRC Mining Cadastre (Ministry of Mines, 2016). |
