Forced out from school by region in 2017 - % of forced out over enrolled (Ministry Of Education, Culture and Higher Education, 2012-2016)

Percentage of children enrolled in primary school level who were forced to drop-out school in consequence of drought, potential famine, or associated economic pressures on families. Drop-out’ data gathered for Puntland and Somaliland via education cluster mechanisms and education ministry personnel during early 2017 and data for Central South Somalia gather by MOECHE officials in coordination with state and regional education offices and local education cluster partners across Central South Somalia. The data are in the frame of the Drought Impact and Needs Assessment (DINA) carried out in Somalia by the Federal Government of Somalia, with the support of the United Nations, the World Bank and the European Union. Administrative boundaries were provided by GAUL.
