Meeting of the small intersessional working group on technical guidelines on persistent organic pollutants as wastes

Venue: The meeting will take place at Delta Ottawa City Centre,101 Lyon Street N. Ottawa, Ontario K1R 5T9, Canada Website:https://www.deltahotels.com/Hotels/Delta-Ottawa-City-Centre.Background: The objective of the meeting is to advance the work on the development and updating of the technical guidelines on persistent organic pollutants as per COP11 decision BC-11/3. The meeting participants include representatives from lead countries (Canada, China and Japan), lead organizations (UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and UNEP Chemicals) and members of the SIWG on POPs. The outcome of the meeting will be submitted for consideration by the twelfth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (4-15 May 2015, Geneva).The meeting is hosted by Canada as overall lead of this task and funding for developing country participants is provided by Norway.Working language: English only
