Sub-regional consultation on the implementation of the Rotterdam Convention in synergy with the Basel and Stockholm conventions: An integrated approach to pesticides and chemicals management at national and regional level

Venue: Jannat Regency Hotel, Aaly Tokombaeva 21/2 str, Bishkek, KyrgyzstanBackground: The Secretariat of the Rotterdam Convention officially received request for support and Technical Assistance from Kyrgyzstan on building a national network for pesticide management and building up the capacity of the institutions and persons directly involved with the implementation of the Convention. Emphasizing their efforts to work synergistically across the 3 Conventions (the Rotterdam, Basel and Stockholm conventions) they pointed out the need for further support on synergies implementation in the country and offered to host a regional workshop or symposium. The request was officially submitted by The State Agency on Environment Protection and Forestry (SAEPF) of The Kyrgyzstan on 16.01.2015.Working Languages: English and Russian
