3rd Meeting of the Programme Steering Committee of the Programme “Improving capacities to eliminate and prevent recurrence of obsolete pesticides as a model for tackling unused hazardous chemicals in the former Soviet Union”

Background: The Rotterdam Convention Secretariat together with PAN-UK implements one of the components of project GCP/RER/040/EC (EC269-940), covering activities related to the identification of high risk practices, pesticide exposure scenarios, particularly vulnerable groups, and awareness raising activities with a focus on family farmers, who are key in protecting human health and the environment while sustainably intensifying agricultural production. Since the designated national authorities to the Convention are part of this process, the work is also supporting governments in integrating social dimensions of pesticide use in national decision making.Working Languages: English and Georgian
