Latin America and the Caribbean regional preparatory meeting for COP3

The Latin America and the Caribbean regional meeting in Sao Paulo, Brazil, was attended by a total of seventy-two participants. Among these, thirty-seven participants represented eighteen governments (Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guyana, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Plurinational State of Bolivia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Suriname and Uruguay) in the region. The remaining thirty-five participants represented two UN bodies (UNDP and UNEP), one intergovernmental organization, two Basel and Stockholm Convention regional centres, and fifteen nongovernmental organizations.
