Venue: International environmental House II (MIE II).In a first step towards establishing global action to develop and deploy alternative products, methods and strategies to DDT for disease vector control, the Interim Steering Committee of the Global Alliance, appointed to guide the process, met from 27th to 29th October 2009 in Geneva, Switzerland. The Global Alliance for the development and deployment of products, methods and strategies as alternatives to DDT for disease vector control was established by the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention at its fourth meeting in May 2009.
