National consultation on the Basel Convention and facilitation of the entry into force of the Ban Amendment

Decisions BC-12/1 and BC-11/1, on Follow up to the Indonesian-Swiss country-led initiative to improve the effectiveness of the Basel Convention, adopted by the Conference of the Parties to the Basel Convention requested the Secretariat, within available resources, to continue to assist Parties, on request, which are having difficulties in ratifying the Ban Amendment.Following a request for assistance from the Ministry of Environment and Energy of the Government of the St Kitts and Nevis, the Secretariat received funding from the Government of Switzerland to undertake activities to support such efforts.
