Annual joint meeting to enhance cooperation and coordination between regional centres under Basel and Stockholm conventions

Venue: International Environment House-2 (IEH-2), Chatelaine, GenevaBackground: The annual joint meeting to enhance cooperation and coordination between the regional centres under the Basel and Stockholm conventions was held from 27 to 28 November 2014 in International Environment House, Geneva. The meeting was focused on two major issues- one on preparing the performance and sustainability report of the regional centres for the consideration of 2015 COPs that reflects the ground reality and the other, on how to enhance regional delivery of technical assistance for the implementation of the conventions on chemicals and wastes by capitalizing the opportunities that already exist and also those which are surfacing. In addition, the centres were also invited to participate in the Science Fair that is being organized by the Secretariat during the 2015 COPs.Working Language: English only
