Part II provides insights into progress made towards the 2020 goal to “achieve, by 2020, that chemicals are used and produced in ways that lead to the minimization of significant adverse effects on human health and the environment [...]”. It also addresses emerging policy issues identified by the International Conference on Chemicals Management (ICCM) and issues where emerging evidence indicates a risk to human health and the environment.
