State of Gender Equality and Climate Change in Bangladesh

The “State of Gender Equality and Climate Change in Bangladesh report” aims to strengthen country-driven processes with evidence on the linkages between gender equality and climate change. The assessment has two main objectives: i) to support a country-driven process to identify the links between gender equality and climate change and analyse gendered impacts in crop agriculture, water resource management, forestry and renewable energy; and ii) to recommend areas for further policy work and research, and the means to enhance gender analysis and integration of gender considerations in climate policies. The sectors included in this report were selected because of their economy-wide significance and relevance for climate action, as well as their inclusion in the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) and National Adaptation Plan (NAP) as part of commitments in adaptation and mitigation.
