Regional Guidelines for Developing, Reviewing and/or Updating National Wastewater Management Plans - CEP Technical Report 87. GEF Caribbean Regional Fund for Wastewater Management Project (GEF CReW)

These Guidelines provide the steps required to develop a wastewater management plan (WWMP). They specify the factors that should be taken into consideration in developing the Plan and identify the actors and stakeholders that are responsible for implementing it. The Guidelines conclude with a Sample Table of Contents for a WWMP. Suggested technologies that may be used in the management of wastewater are also summarized for consideration . It is important to note that these Guidelines are not supported by legislation and it is not mandatory that they be adopted. They are recommendations of the widely accepted and prevailing standards in the sector. GEF CReW countries are encouraged to adopt them as being of persuasive authority on how to develop, review and update a WWMP.
