Proceedings of the GESAMP International Workshop on Assessing the Risks Associated with Plastics and Microplastics in the Marine Environment - GESAMP Reports and Studies No. 103

This report represents the proceedings of a three-day GESAMP workshop on the current risk assessment approaches for plastics and microplastics in the marine environment. The workshop was an opportunity to work with multiple entities in the UN system (e.g. FAO, IMO, UNIDO, WHO) and share interests and expertise with representatives of academia, industry, intergovernmental organizations (IGOs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
