This Guidebook is part of the CDM knowledge management tools produced by the Capacity Development for CDM (CD4CDM) Project, being implemented by the UNEP RISOE Centre, Denmark. The overall objective of the CD4CDM project is to build capacities of national stakeholders in developing countries in CDM project design, preparation, approval, financing and implementation. This document is produced with the aim of providing a simplified guidance to both bankers and project developers in developing countries on possible approaches to financing a CDM project. Examples of various CDM financing schemes are presented, including a list of possible sources of funding and programs for procurement of emissions reductions from developing countries.
