Epidemiological Evidence Review Report: Exposure to Pesticides and Fertilizers and Human Health – Part A; Annex to Environmental and Health Impacts of Pesticides and Fertilizers and Ways of Minimizing Them: Envisioning a chemical-safe world

The annex was produced as an epidemiological evidence review report in response to the United Nations Environment Assembly resolution 3/4 on “Environment and Health” where the Executive Director was requested to present a report on the environmental and health impacts of pesticides and fertilizers and ways of minimizing them, given the lack of data in that regard, in collaboration with the World Health Organization, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and other relevant organizations. The aims of the evidence review report are to update the European Food Safety Authority commissioned report on systematic literature review on epidemiological studies linking exposure to pesticides and health effects published in 2013, and to conduct a systematic review on epidemiological studies linking fertilizers’ use and health effects.
