Environmental Data and Information System: Simarna the Cuban Experience - CEP Technical Report 10

This document details the Cuban experience with Environmental Data and Information System (SIMARNA), which has been in operation in that country since mid-1989. The original purpose of SIMARNA was to serve as a descriptive database to process environmental management and protection; in Cuba it provides a steady supply of systematic and comparative data and information on environmental matters.
