The present directory on tropical forests represents a listing of some 350 institutions able to supply information to enquirers, on request and under mutually agreed terms, on one aspect or another of the following subjects relating to tropical forests: Afforestation and reafforestation; Forest and grass fires; Forest cover; Forest products; Forestry and sylviculture Revegetation; Trees; Tropical ecology; Tropical ecoregions; Tropical ecosystems; Tropical forests. The listing is international and representative but makes no attempt to include all such sources throughout the world. It is hoped that this directory will be of considerable interest and value to workers in this field.
