Action Plan for the Protection of the Marine Environment and Coastal Areas of the South-East Pacific: UNEP Regional Seas Reports and Studies No. 20

The main objective of the Action Plan is to protect the marine environment and coastal areas, in order to promote the conservation of the health and well-being of present and future generations. The Plan aims at providing an appropriate framework for the establishment of a suitable comprehensive policy which will enable this objective to be attained, bearing in mind the specific needs of the region.
