Voluntary Indicative Scale of Contributions: Note by the Executive Director

The present note provides information on the application of the voluntary indicative scale of contributions to the Environment Fund and how the scale has been adapted in the light of the Rio+20 Summit outcome strengthening the United Nations Environment Programme, including calling for the universal membership to provide secure, stable, adequate and increased financial resources from the regular budget and voluntary contributions. The note also explains the proposed revision of the 2019 scale in light of the new UN scale of assessed contributions 2019-2021.
