Implementation of Governing Council decision 27/2: Stakeholder engagement in the United Nations Environment Programme - Report of the Executive Director

The present report sets forth proposed new mechanisms to promote transparency and the effective engagement of civil society in the work of the governing body and its subsidiary bodies, reflecting the results of consultations with the Committee of Permanent Representatives to UNEP. Without prejudice to the further work of the Committee on this matter, the proposed mechanisms, as set out in the annex to the present report, are herewith submitted to the United Nations Environment Assembly for its consideration.
