This document has been prepared by the Secretariat of the Convention for the Protection and Development of the Marine Environment of the Wider Caribbean Region (1983 Cartagena Convention). The Cartagena Convention and its Protocols, including the Protocol Concerning Specially Protected Areas and Wildlife (SPAW), are the legal framework for the 28 Government, Caribbean Action Plan of the Caribbean Environment Programme (CEP) for the Wider Caribbean region.
