Major Port Locations

The World Port Index is created by the Maritime Security Office of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to document the locations and features of major ports around the world. The Maritime Security Office requests that mariners send it corrections in plain language, which the office subsequently codes to create a consistent record of port facilities. MapX through Resource Watch shows only a subset of the data set.
