Fourth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Basel Convention

COP.4 adopted a number of decisions related to the Ban Amendment and issues related to Annex VII. COP4 decided to incorporate List A, identifying wastes characterized as hazardous and List B, identifying non-hazardous wastes as Annex VIII and Annex IX to the Basel Convention respectively.
