| source_abstract | This dataset represents the total volume of water used in the continental and insular territory of Colombia in 2012 by each of the different user sectors: domestic, services, preservation of fauna and flora, agricultural, livestock, recreational, Industrial, energy , mining and hydrocarbons, fishing, mariculture and aquaculture, navigation, transport and return flow. The results obtained for the water demand are calculated from the sum of the partial volume of water used in the different sectors, taking as a basis the calculation of demand and consumption information in Colombia for the year 2012. For the distribution of the results, were defined 8 classification ranges, from less than 10 Mm3 / Year to over 1000 Mm3 / Year.
