short_description This layer shows a 2050 projection of how drastically climate change will affect restorable areas under a business-as-usual scenario. Areas with a low value have higher resilience, whereas areas with larger values are more vulnerable. Restoration is a long-term process, and for it to be as efficient and effective as possible, climate change impacts have to be considered before any action is carried out. This global screening layer of Restoration Resilience offers users a high-level overview of the climate resilience of restorable ecosystems. Different climate threats are considered, however, this is a global analysis that can only be used for scoping, screening and information gathering - before any action can take place, local, context- and species-specific research has to be conducted.
