Marine Pollution Implications of Ocean Energy Development - Report and Studies No. 20

The terms of reference are set out in the report of the eleventh session of GESAMP, paragraph 12.3, viz: - To review the current literature and results of ongoing research and describe marine pollution implications of the exploitation of the major sources of unconventional ocean energy with special reference to coastal areas and multiple-use concepts, particularly in developing countries - To discuss long-term environmental impacts to be expected from extensive ocean energy exploitation at the qlobal level.
